Today was the day our kids (and probably most kids) had been waiting for. What could be better than dressing up and running around the neighborhood asking for candy? Well, how about dressing up in custom-made costumes courtesy of grandma. She put her super sewing skills to work and both of our kids were decked out in amazing/cool/delightful garb. A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of accompanying the fabulous Kim on another of her great weddings, well sort of. Sara and Judd were married back in April in a very small and private ceremony in Michigan. Kim and I were there to shoot their party. And what a party it was. Well, as you can see, I'm back online again. The power outage wasn't so bad. It was actually kind of nice (and quiet) around here. I even took advantage of the "no lights" thing by having a nice, long, candle-lit soak in the tub. My hubby calls my baths "stewing" because they're so hot but I can't live without them! Please note that the studios of Jaci Clark Photography are currently not being served by Ohio Edison with electricity. Yes, we're still paying our bills, but Mother Nature has decided to play dirty tricks on us, and some rather large trees took out power lines on a nearby street. Meanwhile, across the street, our neighbors' lights are on. Seven years ago today started out like any other day. My son was just a tiny thing and getting ready for his morning feeding and my husband was leaving for work. Two weddings and a funeral

I'm totally behind in posting but I do have good reasons. A good friend's father passed away unexpectedly last week so we had calling hours on Sunday. Weddings shouldn't be about having the perfect day or the perfect dress. Weddings should be about having a day that is perfect for you. AnnaLe and Scott did just that. Yep, it's my new blog! Isn't it great?! I wanted something totally different that was fun and unique and I'm pretty sure that's what I got. Don't you just love the little camera gal? Ashley and Michael got married last Saturday at Bath UCC. This church had HUGE windows (great for natural light photography) and an amazing pipe organ! These guys were one of the most well prepared couples I've ever seen. They left themselves plenty of extra time before the ceremony which came in quite handy when she realized they'd left her veil and dad's tux at home. They had sewing kits, steamers and super glue. Funny neighbors, Italian Fest and Picnics

I had a weekend off a few Saturdays ago and stuffed it full of family time. We went to the Mt. Carmel Italian Festival for some socializing and good food. I've said it before and I'm saying it again...I LOVE when brides personalize their weddings! Lauren and Craig did just that! Everything about their day had a personal touch. Today was the first day of the downtown Farmer's Market. I LOVE that there's a market now on Tuesdays because I'm always working on the market's other day, Saturday. 3:00 rolled around and the kids and I drove down for our first taste of fresh everything. Wedding: Erin and Derek

A couple Saturdays ago I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Erin and Derek. I have to say that these guys were one of the most fun-loving (and fun to photograph) groups I've done to date! Their entrances into the reception had me rolling on the floor as the couples hiked bouquets and "went long", acted out matador and bull, and ended with Erin putting a leash on Derek and leading him into the venue on all fours. Working hard

I had another wedding with Steph this past weekend. This time it was Angela and Rick's time in the spotlight. Jennifer and Andy had their day all planned out. A beautiful, outside ceremony at Stan Hywet in Akron with the reception to be held under a tent at the carriage house. Unfortunately, the weather had other plans. The ceremony was beautiful and, although they were brewing in the background, the storms held off just long enough and spared the guests from getting wet. Birthday: My sweet girl.

My sweet little girl celebrated her 5th birthday by being a princess for the day. Our first stop was to Salon TLC for an extra-special "do". She chose to accent her princess tiara with Shirley Temple curls. After almost two hours at the salon, I decided to take her to the park for some portraits. Well, she would have none of that! It didn't matter that she was in her new dress or that her hair was perfect, all she wanted was to play. LOL! So we played. Then we headed home to greet her guests....
