So a few weeks back I answered a tweet that read, "today show needs help: looking for anyone who has had a laptop/iphone/kindle stolen/lost w imp pers info. email XX". As some of you may remember back in May my car was broken into and I had my iPhone as well as my husband's Kindle stolen. After reading the tweet I figured I fit the bill so I sent off an email. About 5 minutes later I received an email from the booking agent, Danielle, who asked if she could call me so we could talk. I gave her my number and my telephone rang. We talked for about 20 minutes, I told her the circumstances of my story, and then she asked, "Would you be willing to be on the Today Show?" I was kind of stunned but managed to squeak out something brilliant like, "Huh? Really? OK, I guess." I think I also said something along the lines of, "You do realize I'm in Youngstown, OH, right?" Sheesh!
Anyway, the next thing I knew I had a camera man from Cleveland showing up at my door. He rearranged my livingroom, set up a bunch of lights, plopped a chair right in the middle, and we started filming. Tom Costello, the reporter who did the story, called in on speaker phone to ask me all the questions. He asked the same questions over and over again looking for a specific soundbite. And, yes, I did try and sneak in my business name here and there but they didn't use any of those :)
So without further ado, here's my 15 minutes (or 30 seconds) of fame but who's counting...

awww you are so cute on tv!! FYI you can use Mobile Me to remotely wipe and track the phone. I have it in mine just in case the worst happens.
Now if only they had that on the Kindle!!! Wah! I'd be desolate if that happened to mine.
Glad it finally aired!
Thanks Corey!
The remote thing was something that they added to the most recent update. They didn't have it back in May when my phone was stolen. :(
Your blog keeps getting better and better! Your older articles are not as good as newer ones you have a lot more creativity and originality now keep it up!
Thanks Anonymous! And thanks for reading!
