I don't do resolutions. I used to when I was younger. But now the older, wiser me knows myself well enough to know that I will never follow through on resolutions. The same way I know that if Sun Chips are in the house I will eat them...all...no matter how many times I tell myself I won't. What I do try and do, however, is set goals for myself. Goals somehow seem more attainable than resolutions, at least for me. So each new year I sit down and write out goals for myself. I try to share them with others because another of the many things I've learned about myself over the years is that I tend to follow through on my goals if I'm somehow held accountable for them. Last year my goal was to be in better shape so I told everyone who would listen about my workout routine in the hopes that the next time they saw me they'd say something like, "How's the training going?" or "You still working out?" Last year I dropped two pants sizes and lost about 20 pounds. See, accountability.
So I'm going to share my 2010 goals both personal and professional with you in the hopes that you, cyber world, will hold me accountable.
1) Relearn sign language and try and find a way to use it regularly.
2) Blog more.
3) Say "Yes" to my kids more than I say "No".
4) Concentrate on building my Lifestyle sessions.
5) Concentrate on building my Boudoir session.
6) Have better time management.
7) Work on a personal photography project.
8) Submit my work to an art gallery.
9) Get published.
10) Pay off all debt (Inspired by my friend Susan)
11) Be a better friend.
12) Learn Quickbooks
So there's a few of my 2010 goals. What are your goals for this new year?

Good luck Jaci... or rather... "Just do it!"
Thanks Andy. I'm sure gonna try. Especially that pay-off-all-my-debt one!
Awesome, Jaci! Looks like such a great list, and I know you're going to do amazing things this year.
There are a few groups here in Columbus that meet in coffee shops once a month and (try to)speak only in French, German, Spanish etc. It's a great way to expand your vocabulary and to put your language skills to work. I'm sure a similarly styled ASL meet up would be a lot of fun.
