Adnan and Aishah

I had the pleasure of second shooting a wedding with the fabulous Kim Reed last weekend! It was so great to get the opportunity to work with Kim! She's always so fun and it was really nice to get to pick her brain a bit :) I hope we can do it again! Be sure to check out her blog to see the FAB photos she took!

This was the most incredible wedding I had ever seen. Guests were dressed in traditional Pakistani attire and everyone looked amazing! Aishah and Adnan were no exception. The food was super yummy and the music was fantastic. It was a good time for all (including us)!
Aishah and Adnan (and their families) were so gracious and kind. Aishah had to be the most relaxed bride on the face of this planet. These two are a great couple and I wish them a lifetime a happiness!

Here are some of my favorite shots from the Mehndi. Be sure to check back as I'll be posting the wedding photos soon :)

The women wore fresh-flower bracelets.

Butterfly girls.

Love this one!

Update your bookmarks and RSS

Hi everyone,

My blog has a new home. In preparation for my new website, which will live at www.jaciclark.com, we've moved my blog to its new and permanent home. Please update your bookmarks and/or your RSS feeds so you can continue to get notified of new posts. A BIG thanks to my hubby for taking care of the switch for me. I could have never figured it out without him!

Thanks for your patience!

Cheers,

Hiccups possible

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to let you know that I'm switching servers tonight so if you try and view my site for the next couple of days and have trouble, please be patient. It takes a few days to "work the kinks out".

I've made a decision to try and be as green as possible in my life and my business so I'm switching to Thinkhost. Thinkhost is run via wind and solar power, plants a tree for every new customer and allows their clients to have a carbon neutral account by offering carbon credits. On top of that, it was the same monthly cost as my previous hosting company (GoDaddy).

Please bear with me as I make these changes :)

Thanks! See you on the new server!

Cheers,
Jaci

EEK! Has it been that long?

I've been super busy as of late and just realized that I'm about three weeks behind in posting my 365's. OOPS! I have been taking the photos, just haven't had time to post them so I will do it now. In an effort to not overwhelm you, I'm going to break them up in a couple posts.

Before I do that I want to wish a great, big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my hubby who turns 33 today! I love you, baby!

Cheers,
Jaci

Another four-year-old funny

We play a game at my house that my kiddos love. We call it "Fruit or Vegetable". I will name a fruit or veggie and, as quickly as they can, my kiddos will yell out what they think it is...fruit or vegetable. Mostly, they like the noises I make when they get the answer right (ding, ding, ding) or wrong (ehhhhnnn) It goes something like this:
Me: "Banana: fruit or vegetable?"
Kiddos: "FRUIT!"
Me: "Ding, ding, ding!"

After playing this game a few times my kiddos got pretty good at remembering what things were, so now I try to stump them and make things more challenging. The other day this game went like this:

Me: "Potatoes: fruit or vegetable?"
Kiddos: "VEGETABLE!"
Me: "Ding, ding, ding!" French fries: fruit or vegetable?"
Kiddos: "VEGETABLE!"
Me: "Ding, ding, ding!"

So, curious as to whether or not they knew why french fries might be a vegetable I asked, "Do you know where french fries come from?"
My daughter responded, "Yeah, McDonald's!"
