Catching up

This has been such a busy time around our house but I wanted to be sure not to forget some very important happenings. R recently had her debut performance with Ballet Western Reserve in the Nutcracker. Okay, so it was last month but I did tell you we were busy around here. I was able to photograph the dress rehearsal and snagged some cool images. But better than that, my husband was able to sneak in and video her during her number. Now, I pride myself in not being one of those "stage moms" but I have to say that I was in tears watching my beautiful, little girl on that big stage. Mind you, her part was tiny. Literally if you blink you'd miss her but to me she was the star of the show!

Not to be outdone by his sister, B also has something new to share. He's got glasses!!! About a month ago his teacher told me that he was having some trouble reading the board. I didn't think this needed immediate attention so I got through Nutcracker/Thanksgiving/vacation and then scheduled the appointment. I was astonished to realize that B couldn't read the second line! You know, the first line is the big "E" then the second line? Yea, that one. I wondered how in the world we missed this. It's came as no shock as we all wear glasses but I didn't think his eyes would be that bad. Anyway, the moment he heard he'd need glasses he said, "I want Harry Potter glasses." Unfortunately perfectly round glasses aren't so easy to come by so he settled for Harry Potter-ish oval ones. Here's a shot of his new look.
